Slimiser is the first medical device using patented convergent ultrasound technology, developed in collaboration with CNRS and École Normale Supérieure experts, for non-invasive body remodelling. This body sculpting technique delivers clinically validated, measurable results and is entirely pain-free.
Demand for non-invasive aesthetic treatments is growing rapidly. Patients are looking for visible results — without surgery, without social downtime, and with maximum comfort. For doctors and aesthetic centres, this trend creates a clear opportunity: integrate differentiating, documented, and reliable technologies that meet patient expectations in practice.
Slimiser integrates into your practice as a premium differentiating offering: pain-free treatment, visible results from the first session, new patient flow and retention. A serious alternative to invasive technologies, backed by clinical evidence.
Slimiser is the only device using patented convergent ultrasound technology to reduce localised fat. Protected by patent, there is no equivalent on the market — positioning you immediately as a pioneering practice.
Selected by IMCAS 2024 among the world's major innovations in aesthetic medicine, Slimiser offers clinics and medical centres a differentiating technology that strengthens their premium positioning with patients seeking non-invasive, visible, medically supervised solutions.
Up to −5 cm waist reduction after 1 to 2 sessions. Visible results at D+7, documented by measurements, photographs and body composition analysis. 100% of patients in the clinical study experienced no pain.
> 18% in 3 to 4 weeks
Simple protocol, training included, remote support available. Slimiser fits into your schedule with no constraints: wide range of indications, one to two short sessions per complete treatment, delegatable procedure, no thermal effect, no side effects, no downtime for the patient.
Slimiser is based on a simple physical principle: directing multiple ultrasound beams toward the same target area to concentrate energy in subcutaneous adipose tissue.
This convergence produces a local mechanical action on adipocytes while limiting exposure of superficial tissues. Treatment is performed with a specific applicator, according to controlled parameters and a defined protocol.
The applicator suctions the volume to be treated for a few seconds, like a suction cup.
At the start of the session, Slimiser analyses patient-specific parameters and automatically adjusts treatment settings to optimise results, freeing the operator and simplifying daily clinical use.
A uniform ultrasound field (cumulative Fresnel zones) is created in the fat volume formed inside the Slimiser applicator. The intensity of the ultrasound waves accumulates in the subcutaneous adipose tissue, generating powerful energy.
The energy is powerful enough to produce a mechanical effect that compresses and stretches adipocytes one million times per second, destroying their membrane — as evidenced by increases in triglycerides, glycerol and fatty acids (see preclinical data).
A field of micro-pulses generated during treatment — and optionally during post-treatment sessions — stimulates superficial circulation to facilitate elimination of adipocyte debris and fat molecules released into the interstitial space, progressively cleared through natural pathways.
Results appear from D+7 (sometimes D+5), become increasingly visible through D+28, with possible further — though less significant — progression between D+28 and D+60.
Convergent ultrasound principle
Slimiser's development is supported by preclinical and clinical data documenting the mechanism of action, safety, and efficacy.
Human adipose tissue explants were treated with convergent ultrasounds to observe changes induced at the adipocyte and superficial tissue level.
Histological sections allow observation of adipose tissue structure before and after exposure to Slimiser convergent ultrasounds.
In the pre-treatment image, adipocytes appear as relatively regular fat cells with preserved tissue architecture.
In the post-treatment image, disruption of this architecture is observed: adipocytes are less regular, some cell membranes appear altered, and the tissue shows signs consistent with a mechanical action of ultrasounds on fat cells.
These observations support the Slimiser mechanism: targeting subcutaneous adipose tissue and weakening adipocytes through the convergent action of multiple ultrasound sources, before their progressive elimination through natural pathways.
Control explant. Intact adipocytes, regular architecture.

Explant after 3 min treatment — Intact epidermis and dermis.
Results after 2 treatments
Fat measurements after treatment compared to those of the control explant demonstrate adipocyte apoptosis, with release of several molecules: triglycerides (+27%), glycerol (+18%) and fatty acids (+46%) — molecules released from triglycerides hydrolysed under the action of convergent ultrasounds.

Slimiser is suitable for patients presenting localised fat deposits. Although Slimiser has demonstrated good results in patients with high BMI (>35), it is not an obesity treatment but a body contouring technology designed to treat targeted areas. Predominantly adipose-type fat responds better to treatment than oedematous or fibrous tissue.
Unlike cryolipolysis and HIFU, Slimiser's convergent ultrasounds produce no thermal effect but a micro-physical effect that lyses adipocyte membranes and triglycerides without causing necrosis — hence no pain during or after treatment. A volume of up to 265 cc can be treated in 5 minutes, approximately 1 litre per quarter-hour, contributing to results and session speed. Unlike EMS, adipocytes are not emptied but destroyed, making the effect lasting.
Generally one session yields results, except on very fibrous tissue where adiposity has been present for a long time (stage 4). A second session performed 2 months after the first can enhance results. It is important to measure and photograph the area before treatment and at the one-month follow-up to objectively compare before/after, as some patients tend not to notice the gradual difference. For very thick adipose tissue, additional sessions may be performed — patients should be informed of this upfront.
Absolutely. GLP-1 treatments cause significant overall weight loss (which Slimiser does not), but some patients retain localised fat deposits despite weight stabilisation. Slimiser can then be proposed as a complementary targeted body remodelling treatment for residual areas that do not respond sufficiently to general weight loss.
Slimiser is designed as premium aesthetic medicine equipment, generating a new non-invasive body remodelling offering. Despite this positioning and Slimiser's clinical advantages, and thanks to rational technical choices and budgets oriented toward R&D and production rather than marketing, Slimiser is priced at the lower end of CE-marked body remodelling medical device pricing. The aim is to democratise body remodelling and allow practitioners to easily achieve a return on Slimiser and make it a significant revenue source. Profitability depends on the price charged, number of sessions performed, centre organisation, local demand, and the financing formula and duration if leasing. A confidential personalised simulation is available on request.
The Slimiser device carries CE medical device marking in accordance with the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745). It may be used by authorised healthcare professionals and in all countries recognising CE marking. Synthebio is also an ISO 13485 certified medical device manufacturer.
